I thought it was about time I updated! Let's start with time. I no longer have any.
I'm up at 5:30 to get to work for 8:00. That in itself kills me. I'm trying to take the bus most days. On the plus side I'm home usually at 5:10. If, and it's a big if, I get a run in, I have time to get home, shower, have dinner, and go to bed. Sigh.
Running hasn't been going very well. I caught a stomach bug that everyone in my office has that had me feeling pretty horrible for a week. I missed my half marathon, which I was going to downgrade to the 5k if they would have let me. My last few long runs were disastrous. They wouldn't let me drop to the 5, and I don't think I could have done it anyway I was feeling so lousy. Today was my first run back, I did 5k, and it wasn't bad at all. I've lost a ton of fitness though, so I need to get serious again. I'm trying too cook more on the weekends, so that I have something quick to heat up for dinner, to give me some run time after work. I'm also trying to get yoga back in, just to loosen up. I'm so stiff it takes me until I get to the printer to stand up straight. I think part of the problem is dress shoes. I have leg cramps at night too. Rah! ;)
Work itself has been ok. I'm still learning the ropes, and there hasn't been that much for me to do yet, not that I'm not busy because I am, but not doing what I should be doing if that makes sense. One very funny thing that happened at the office was being recognized by a woman who whips out a photo album with pictures from my first wedding and KT's christening! We were friends in high school! We had lunch this week, it was fun to catch up. She really hasn't changed a bit, other than she's blonde now.
Other than that, there's not much going on. I feel tired and fat all the time, I'm not eating as well as I should, not getting enough sun. I'm anxious.
On that note, I'm going to go to bed!

Poor thing. It can be hard to get settled into a new routine. You know what to do and I bet in another month you'll be settled into the "new normal" and it'll all be good. :-)
Thank you bunnygirl :)
I leave the house at 7 and get home at 5:50ish, depending on transit. Out here in the wild west, we work 8 to 5 with an unpaid hour for lunch.
This is my first year of working full time since the kids were born (youngest just turned 13), so I'm living in transition-land too.
Hope you're feeling more energetic soon, and that you feel your work is what you should be getting to do soon, too.
Keep plugging at the running n' stuff - it will pay off with more energy later. Really :)
